how many psi on a blower you need to make 750 hp out of a 502 bbc with 525 hp

I was just wondering, i have 502 bbc motors making around 525 hp and looking to get around 750 out of em. With a 671 blower and no intercooler how many psi would i need. And would motors still be reliable

There's a lot more to the equation, what heads? Cams? Injected or carb?

My buddy has a Gen VI 502 mag MPI that made 730hp on Crockett's dyno.

I know the heads had better valves installed but the cam used was very mild.

He's running a M1 procharger with @ 5lbs.

its go be carb and the heads are iron wit a little work done to them as far as the cam i dont know would have to call innovation marine

i just looking roughly 8 psi would give how many more hp

What Innovation engine are you running?

I believe a rule of thumb with everything coinciding with one another (carbs, cams, heads, and so forth) its about 30 hp to 1 lb of boost.....I THINK....that's what I remember to get to 1250 from 800 which was also an Innovation Engine!!!!

the innovation marine 525 it was almost identicial as the old volvo 525 that innovation marine built

ALL things being perfect...36hp per pound of boost. 30-33 is average. So, you arencorrect!

HP per each boost psi is always going to be the biggest just into boost. IE: Your 1st 5 pounds will be more hp per psi boost than say going from 10-15psi.

Edit in: Each psi and each hp per psi is 1 million % dependent on engine size and build and SC and intercooler effeciency and so on and so on.

not all blowers are going to be equal, not even close...with a procharger 7lbs should be close, maybe a little less...with a 671 10 at least I would think...
