Anyone know how to remove hydraulic stud on k-plane
 

I think I need to replace my upper k-plane mounting plate due to some corrosion in the hole for the indicator cable. Does anyone know how to remove the thru-hull hydraulic studs so I can re-use them? Anyone know where I can get the upper plate for the least amount of money?

Might be cheaper to just hace the corrosion ground out and then weld in the damaged area and have it redrilled.

They should just screw out from the boat side of the plate. Just take off the plastic nut on the outside, then turn them out. May need a pipe wrench.

There were some k-plane plates in the swap shop for a decent price.

Snap-on makes a collet type stud puller, they work excellent.
