Can you identify this hull ??????

Can anyone identify the boat hull below? Ive searched the web but no luck yet...its around a mid 1980's hull and said to have had an outboard motor. Also said that it was a limited run with outboards and typically had an inboard...but this has not been verified, only heard thru rumor mill.

How long is it?

jlbspd 04-30-2012 08:57 PM

Told its 20 foot...not positive though....its on a single axle trailer....obviously it was not fit to trailer but more like it was just thrown on it for moving around.

Baja226sport 04-30-2012 09:04 PM

Have you tried checking on the HIN???

jlbspd 04-30-2012 09:12 PM

Yes I inquired about # but problem is I dont have access to the boat right now.....my buddy is getting this boat but he to hasnt got the HIN # yet......The guy that has this boat right now wasnt even sure what it was....he thought Donzi......but I dont see that. I originally was leaning towards a glastron or sanger variation but more I look the more I cant seem to figure it out.

toolsinbox 04-30-2012 09:35 PM

Does not look like Glasstron to me but maybe Donzi. 20ft Donzi's came on single axle. Perhaps an 1983 to 86 ?

looks kinda rough i hope its cheap and comes with a pile of grinding wheels.

jlbspd 04-30-2012 09:42 PM

If free is cheap then thats what he's paying lol
More or less wanted for the trailer and maybe motor....but then again I havent seen it in person yet......pics look a bit iffy to say the least....but Ive seen worse come back to life...:lolhit:

toolsinbox 04-30-2012 09:47 PM

Free is great and yes that hull can be brought back. Anything is possible with albo grease.

is that not an outboard deck on that hull with a notched transom? No engine that I can see.

jlbspd 05-01-2012 08:51 AM

I was told the hull is set up from factory for an outboard and there was a limited run of this hull for outboards...but typically had an inboard. The engine that was on it was an outboard and was removed before pics were taken.
I will see if I can get a pic of the back transom.... I have some interior pixs Im going to post up to.

jlbspd 05-01-2012 09:10 AM

Here is the weathered seat and interior shot

Buddy is not looking to make this a perfect 10 but interested in getting it back on the water and looking decent.

jlbspd 05-01-2012 03:17 PM

Still no luck identifying this hull.....

Baja226sport 05-01-2012 03:47 PM

"albo grease"

Never heard of it....who makes the stuff??? :lolhit:

toolsinbox 05-02-2012 03:55 AM

the best I can do is

Baja

Are you sure its 20 ft?

I wonder if its that rare Starcraft flattie. I forget the model but not many were made. That lip around the edge looks the same. I am grasping but its food for thought.

jlbspd 05-02-2012 07:56 AM

I thought i was onto something with Borum Boats but havent found this exact hull...searched for Starcraft but no luc so far.

ezstriper 05-02-2012 08:49 AM

I had a starbuck jet..cool boat..very rare, hull did not look anything like this but they did make a few completly diff hulls...made in colorado I think...

bulletbob 05-02-2012 08:57 AM

Tahiti mabye? My .02 cents.

jlbspd 05-02-2012 09:58 AM

Will research those ideas to....Boat is located on FL. East coast.....not that that makes a diff....but theres alot of boats made down here.

fireboatpilot 05-02-2012 01:18 PM

Mastercraft?

jlbspd 05-02-2012 10:14 PM

Couldnt find Mastercraft hulls like this.....I cant believe its got me this puzzled!
