Oil temp sending units

I have a pair of 454 mag mpis and am woundering where the best spot to instal the oil temp sending units is, also what size (1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 3/8). Also if there is a wire in the factory merc harness for this or if I have to run a new one. Thanks Eric

Pan if possible. If not, the remote filter works too. My harness used brown with white stripe for oil temp. Depends on the setup.

Installed mine in the remote filter housing.

Had to run a seperate wire to the dash.
