valve cover

I have changed the cam for hyd roller on my 525sc and i dont know if the stock valve cover is enought tall for the new lift, i have 365 lift at cam with 1.7 rocker ratio = .620 lift at valve. the rocker is scorpion marine.

Anybody have try this lift number with that cover?

Are you running the finned covers? If so you should be fine, there is a lot of room under those covers.

it will clear ,lots of clearance under the cover.

If they have "drip tabs" in them they will probly hit. i'm at .630 lift with scorpions and had to cut the tabs off. i rolled the motor over by hand with with the valve cover mounted but not bolted down and i could see the cover moving around.

mine looked like this ebay auction.

There is plenty of room for that much cam lift under the stock valve covers. You may have to radius a couple corners on the rocker arms to clear the baffles around the fill holes.

The drip tabs are already ground off from the factory.
