Go roller and skip the flat tappet stuff. I just tore down an engine that I bought to rebuild, whoever first rebuilt it did a $hitty job, anyway, they used a flat tappet cam and 5 of the lifters when flat and took out the cam and sent metal flakes through out the entire engine. If you do some searching this is a very common problem, even with professional engine builders. Spend the extra money now or pay a lot later. I almost went the flat tappet route on my current builds but I'm glad I was talked out of it.

its already in the motor and has about 20-30 hrs on it. it runs real good and seemed to work well in my 27' baja. A friend bought the motor from me and was thinking of putting on a silent choice system thats why im asking

I would not run silent choice with a cam that has a 110* lob sep. It needs long risers for sure that mix water far back.
