Anyone heard of boat angle causing oil pressure problems?

Hey guys, I just noticed I'm loosing oil pressure when I get to 3800-4000 rpms, I'm going from 40psi down to 20psi, when I drop down it immediately goes back to 40psi. I've read lots of different possible causes. The one that most are saying is the problem is the boat angle. Anyone heard of this ?

Any input will be greatly appreciated
Thanks

It sounds like your oil level is too high and the oil pump is sucking air at high rpm. And no, the boat angle is not the problem, if it were when you get on plane your problem would happen.

Ditto! The oil sloshes up and hits the crank which whips it full of air, many of us run windage trays to eliminate the issue.

Funny, should I remove or let it burn, my boat loves oil?
I should mention the stick says full or a tad below,

Definitely sounds like a windage issue caused either by a poor windage tray design or high oil level. The higher oil level could be caused by an increased engine angle. That will cause the oil to pile up at the rear of the oil pan.

Is this a new problem? Is this the first time it has been run or did this problem just arise?

your oil pan is rear sump, not front sump by weird chance.

Just added a 1/4 of oil before I ran it, only happens when I'm over 3800 to 4000RPMs, but instantly comes back! When I throttle down.

I may have over filled it, did it on the trailer in my drive way!
