dry risers thru the transom. pros and cons
wondering if there is any advantages or disadvantages of running long dry risers thru the transom . i know my cams are border line for reversion so i dont want any problems. i know on the dry the water doesnt mix untill the end but will this make the risers hot or increase temp inside engine compartment. its a twin bigblock setup

What are the specs on your cam? Risers that dump the water at the end are dry to the tip, a true dry riser will dump the water out of a completely different location. As for there being heat issues- NO! They are water cooled the entire length so there is no issue with extra heat. One thing to remember a true dry riser is LOUD!

Loud enough to make your head hurt. Plan on getting mufflers of some sort also.
