Mercury Warranty

Forward gear not working on my bravo 1 drive. Heard a loud grinding noise then the boat stopped.It,s a 496ho ,warranty was over on June 26th happen on the 29th.Still waiting for word if they will cover it under warranty. How is Mercury in these situations.I heard they were having problems with the 496ho with bravo 1 drive so they changed to the xr drives on these motors , is this true.

Just got off the phone with my dealer they said they would take care of the problem under warranty.Just hope I have it back next weekend.
