Which spark plug for 496 Mag?

I'm sure this has been covered before but after wading through half a dozen threads I didn't find the answer. Which plugs are suggested for a stock 496 mag? I know the mercruiser's are high $ and it looks like most people are running AC Delco or NGK. Is one better than the other? Does anyone have the part numbers? Do you have to run the fancy platnum or iridium ones?

Go to your local auto parts place and get ac plugs for a truck 496, they are the same thing for around 7 bucks.

AC Delco 41-983 platinum plug.

what gap should I run with stock 496 Mags on those plugs?

335 hours on stock plugs in a 496 MAG built in 9/2003. Still starts and runs like a top.
