Bolsters
 

I have a pair of McLeod bolsters with a push button and a cable thats supposed to drop the seat, neither one of the seats drop trying to figure out how they are supposed to work and find out if I need new cables. I looks like a rod with a spring around it that holds the seat up and the cable goes to one end of it. I sent McLeod an e'mail and no response. The friend I got them from thinks they are late 80's early 90's style. Any help would be great, Thanks. and if this is the wrong forum please let me know
