Whipplecharged motor won't start

Help: Just got to the lake and one of my motors on my newly installed whipple's [HP500EFI] won't start.

The Whipple's were just installed last week.

What is the best throttle position? Did I flood the engine?

Idle position, Pumping it does nothing, If the idle is set too low (not likely) raise it just a little off idle. Then try. Mine start perfect everytime I dont touch the throttle until started.

You got spark?

Raypanic: When I shut the motors down last weedend everything was find. When Iwent to start the motors today the port motor started hard, and the starboard motor won,t start at all.
I tried several throttle positions. Did I flood the motor?

Mine crank for about 5-6 seconds then bang they take right off. Are you running rich? is your transom dirty? Mabee fouled plugs but I doubt it. If you have a black transom check a plug and see how sooty it is. If it is clean it and that cyl should start popping. IF they are fouled the ECU must be programmed wrong or something.

How is the fuel flow and pressure? Is it firing at all? How was it running the last time out? If it is flooded you should smell gas bad, Let it sit for a hour or two and try agian, dont touch the throttles though. Did Bruce dyno the engines?

I found my problem, I realized that I had no no fuel pressure. I found a loose wire conector leading to the + battery terminal. I re-placed the connectorthe guage went to 45 pounds and the engine fired right up.

Then I realized my next problem, no water pressure, and the temp guage was climing to 200 degrees. No water in the sea straner.

The only thing I can think of is that I cooked the raw water pump rubber impeller when cranking the enging for long periods.

By the way, I ended up having my whipple installation completed by ARE out of Landcaster Ohio.
