More HP = How much more mph????

Well I know this is a loaded question but as a general rule of thumb with a Deep "V" with a conservitive x-dimension what kind of increase in mph should I expect with a 75-100hp jump? I seem to remember "Hot-Boat" saying something like 15-20hp=1mph on a "V".....Is this a good place to start?

I've got a Baja 24 Outlaw with a 24 degree V and it takes very bit of 20hp/per mph. I would expect no more than 4-5 mph increase.

Ive seen a 6mph gain and I wish it was more....But don't we all! Reading it is one thing hearing it first hand is what really matters....
