What is diameter of distributor shaft for Merc T-bolt IV?

I need to order a new distributor gear for my T-bolt IV distributor, and don't have it sitting here in front of me to measure the shaft diameter. Does anyone know?

The shaft size can be either .427" or .491", it needs to be measured to verify.

Thanks Bob. Do you have a recommendation on they type of gear to run with a GM Billet cam like Merc ran in the Mag motors? This one does not have the pressed on cast gear.
