350 mag carb bogging

I just rebuild a carburetor change a fuel filter and the engine still bogs under load I'm thinking the timing advance isn't working but I just can't I need to check in with a timing light does anybody know possible causes it's a 96 350 mag. With a thunderbolt 5 ignition I think the next thing I'm going to change is the knock sensor that controls the timing advanceon the thunderbolt 5 my question is has anybody ever have this problem and what they did to fix it thank you very much

put a light on it and see if it is advancing when revved. will tell you if it is advancing or not...
