Mando to Delco
I am going thru an alternator a year and the Mando is just not cutting it. Does anyone know how to convert from the three wire mando set up to the delco one wire set up. I think the delcos are a better unit and parts are more easily available in my area.
Thanks Scott |

But what are the other two wires for? Does your volt gauge still work?

One is a voltage sensing wire(full time 12v) the other is an excitation wire(switched 12v).
Make sure to insulate them so they don't touch a ground and short. The 1 wire Delco does this internally. The volt meter works fine. I bought mine from here, http://www.dbelectrical.com/p-3609-n...e-adr0334.aspx Jeff |
