Mando to Delco

I am going thru an alternator a year and the Mando is just not cutting it. Does anyone know how to convert from the three wire mando set up to the delco one wire set up. I think the delcos are a better unit and parts are more easily available in my area.
Thanks Scott

Just did that. The Delco bolts right up. You'll just use the heavy red wire and the ground. Leave the other two wires unhooked but insulated.

But what are the other two wires for? Does your volt gauge still work?

One is a voltage sensing wire(full time 12v) the other is an excitation wire(switched 12v).
Make sure to insulate them so they don't touch a ground and short.
The 1 wire Delco does this internally. The volt meter works fine.

I bought mine from here,
