Be VERY careful in what classification you ship it under, a close friend bought a 454 mag long block from Competition products in Wisconsin, it was shipped classified as "used engine parts" or something to that effect, when it showed up with pallet broken and crank snapped at 1/2 journal the insurance only paid something like 25 or 50 cents per pound , shipping was only 150$ though!

they shipped my 496 complete with exhaust and whipple from fla to burlington,ny,for 235$....used them a couple of times...always satisfied

Also take into account "list" rates are hugely out of whack in LTL.
Weight class is important but so is discount. It is not uncommon for a regular shipper to have 70-80% discounts. Discount is negotiable.
