My self, I would start with a basic tune up first. Cap, rotor, plugs, wires, ect.

ECM in safe mode ??

it was tuned up beginning of season. ran great all summer. then did this 1 time the first day 2-3 second now it does it 10-12 before i can get and plane and drive it like normal. would ecm go in safe mode due to the intake gasket leak i fixed?
since it has happened i put on new upper intake gaskets new iac i hate to throw parts at it but not knowing any one with a scan tool its kinda all i can do? tps next? i guess another new cap and rotor cant hurt? |
Does it have a vst...mine had same symptoms a few yrs ago...screen in bottom of vst clogged....then the next yr the electric pump went bad..as other have ssid check fuel pressure...mine was intermitent and only under load.

Figured it out! I checked and re checked everything toady. Tps ohms- great, fuel pressure- great. So i did some reading and found a thread of the same symptoms and a guy said 502 mpis with low drive fluid in there reservoir will not go over 3k rpm. Checked mine and it was low! Where did i go? that's a new issue but topped it off and it ran great! All day today!
