First question: Are you getting power? (Check battery, fuses and breakers)

If you are getting power and the hatch still won't lift, most Fountains used external hinges. Simply remove the hinge pins and pull the hinge side up while somebody holds the OPEN button - assuming you now have power. Once you get the hatch open enough to reach it, disengage the pin on the end of the lift cylinder and remove the hatch.

Just so you know, that's not a pump. The hatches lift with a screw jack.

You need to remove the pins at the back of the hatch, slide it back. That will be enough to pull the pin on the jack cylinder.

Assuming you used the trick we told you to get the hatch open, you now need to see if you have power going to the motor on the base of the jack screw.

A few years ago I had the same problem. Took the whole thing apart, cleaned everything up and put new grease on the screw. Has been working fine ever since.
