fountain audio/visual alarm confusion
I recently purchased a 2005 27 ft fever. Everything works excellent all fluids are clean and full but after running my first 60 gallons through the boat when I idled down to dock the audio/visual alarm sounded, not constant. I looked in the book and it says intermittent alarm is low drive oil but drive oil is fine. I unplugged the monitor but the alarm will still sound only at idle. Anyone know what it could be or where I could purchase an ecu reader?

The same alarm is used for high temperature. At idle, you're pumping less water through the cooling system. What does your temperature gauge read? Might be time for an impeller on the raw water pump.

Good thought but my temp is reading 170 max like I said everything is operating excellent, gauges all look good also. Any other thoughts? Thanks

Is it a constant, intermittent beep? In other words, "beep, beep, beep" constantly? If that's the case, it's generally low drive lube. I am getting that periodically on my 2008 Donzi. I put my Rinda scan tool on it, and that's what it showed. My fluid levels are fine, but I did not disconnect the sensor (it looked hard wired to me). I'm probably going to just replace it this winter. It's funny, though, if you disconnected the sensor and your still getting the beep. I thought there were two other faults it could be for this type of alarm - engine temp and oil pressure. All of mine were fine, and the scan tool showed it to be low drive lube.

It's not constant, only like two herbs every three or four minutes and only when I'm coming out of plane and idling

Beep * where and what hook up do I need to get to read codes? What one do you have? I was told the float occasionally sticks in your monitor bottle. Maybe what's happening to yours. Thanks

I use a Rinda Scanner. Pretty slick. $399.
