Same as distributor advance springs.... if you have that type..had both issues in past that's how I know.... If you suspect flooding then take arrestor off and watch it....if its flooding that. Bad you will see it..... |
Are you opening the throttle after it stalls to try to clear the flood? What I mean is, open the throttle, crank the engine on the stalled/flooded engine and that should allow it to clear the flood and fire off.
You could also use a timing light to verify spark while its not starting, zip tie the trigger and shove in the backseat where you can still see it or something. We had one a couple years ago that was a faulty rev limiter but that would cause the motor to drop out but that was at speed. Over a couple weeks the interval that the motor would run before dropping out got shorter and shorter. It too would re-fire after sitting for awhile. Only one of the motors had a rev limiter on it and it was the one I hadn't torn down the year before so I didn't know it was there until I swapped the ignition modules. Doesn't sound similar since yours only fails after you've come off plane, not at speed. |
Don't rule anything out unless you try it.......could be many things and may not be the Carb...

Let it idle for a while and pull a plug that will also help... I am betting its more lean then not...or timing at idle....
