Towing with Props On
Should props be removed from six drives when towing long distant?
The biggest reasons to take props off drives like that are safety related. Somebody nosing around in a parking lot could get cut. And if somebody runs into the back of you, that's a hell of a lot of money that you don't have to write off.
And of course there's also the idiots out there who will try to steal something shiny. |

That's probably one of those things where an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
But they look so pretty on..........but yea.....I would take them off for safety and theft reasons.

I usually tow with my props on, but I have custom covers on them with reflective material on them as well.
So other than safety and theft reasons they can be left on and won't cause any damage to the drives?
Also always wondered at highway speed 70-75 can the props start spinning if the drives are in neutral?
I guess so! I think it's called ventilated hull!!!!
