I have the Merc relief valves that use 1" hose. A good amount of water flows thru when open. I'd be afraid 1/2" would be to small. You want the relief valve to control your pressure, not too small of a hose.

Mine dump thru my exhaust

Just talked to Eddie Marine. They dont see why it wouldnt work but recommended a new dump location. Thats the way I am going to go. Per their recommendations, install a 1/2 relief valve on the 1 1/4" discharge side of pump with their Tee with 1/2" bung, then install a 1/2 npt to 3/4 barb on the relief, then 3/4 hose out to a 3/4 dump. I'll probably put the dump next to the bilge dump for semetry plus with it being on the drivers side of boat I can keep an eye on it. Should do it.

Revd Up, basically same concept I am doing but I will not have much 1/2". Just thru the bung and relief valve so a inch or so. Then 3/4 on out.

Sounds like I better go with 3/4" hose all the way.

Tap your exhaust block off plate and dump it in exhaust exit.

Could someone give me the part #'s & sizes for the tee's they have used, dumps as well. I'm going with the relief valves from Teague. Gonna put them after the oil cooler & before the thermostat. Pics of these set-ups would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
