Should I remove the circ. water pump ?

Got my 572 all alum out and getting a freshen up along with shaft style rockers. This motor failed a comp cam rocker.I would like to know the best water circulation or cooling system for a fresh water motor ? It is nat asp with cmi big tubes and alum dart heads.Currently comes in from the bravo drive, thru an oil cooler to the sea water pump then to the top t stat hsg with feeds the circulation pump. What are the pro's and cons of this ? Can I just install a cross over style and just let the sea water pump feed it ? thanks , hf... I need a boat ride !!

You sure it doesn't go to the sea water pump and then the oil cooler? Yes you could just go to the cross over.
