oil pressure warnimg buzzer

Does anyone know what pressure the stock warning buzzer is set to in a '99 454???

At 6 psi or above switch should have no continuity.

Checkmate,

I do not know for your engine and year. My 96 350 alpha I gen II is 6 psi. After my engine made metal at idle you could hear the buzzer. With 1000 rpm the buzzer went out with totally trashed main bearings.

It would also be nice to have a temp buzzer sound before your heads boil and a valve seat falls into your engine.

Maybe there is some better stuff out there than the stock stuff?

Info comes right from the merc service manual.

You can go to a good automotive parts store and get them at differant pressures and I know Gaffrig has them also.
