imco -2 lower on 25 daytona
 

Anybody have experience with a imco or sportmaster -2 lower on a 25 daytona open bow with a 525 ?
looking for some info, will it help or not looking for a little more top end.

Eliminator sets their X dim pretty high already. A guy a know tried -2's on his 30 Daytona. He had to switch to 5 blade props and use 1" spacers and only gained 1-2mph.

I have a -2 Imco on my 25 daytona. No problems at all and I run a 4 blade Bravo one prop. My boat is also a twin step hull but I do have a extenison box.

what motor you have in it ,mine is also a twin step no stand off box

I loaned my spare 2 in sportmaster to a friend w a 26 daytona( stock 500 efi) and it did not help his boat.
Not sure the difference between 25 and 26 other than the 1 foot.

I have a 540 with a single dominator.

Had 26 with standoff box, 900HP motor and bowrider. Could not get it over 100. Put -2 shorty and gained 15 mph.

Have a friend with 26 also and had same problem. Shorty did same for him.

Have another friend with 28, put shorty's on and did not gain anything.
