Integrated Mufflers?
I'm looking to buy new exhaust. Will be fully jacketed all the way to tips to avoid reversion issues and therefore very loud.
I should start by saying I LIKE IT LOUD. But, I also live in Ohio where the law says 90db and you are not allowed to have exhaust that opens and closes. I have no idea how much they police this but figure it only takes one complainer. So, the question is, when I have these headers built, do I take them up on the integrated mufflers or get something that bolts on the outside of the boat? The integrated mufflers are going to cost me about 300 extra a side so quite economical comparatively. The will look clean, they have removable/ changeable elements, etc... The provide zero horsepower loss according to manufacturer (Lightning). The bad side? I have no flexibility once I go this route. Thoughts? Tom |

If the Lightning integrated mufflers are only $300 a side, cost no horsepower, and are removeable, I'd be all over them. That's what I did with my CMI Ilmor tailpipes.

Wow! Pretty cool. I dont know how the removable part works but they say the packings can be changed so suppose they could also be removed.
