Hawk 600SC ?'s
 

What's the story behind these engines. My understanding is they are 502 ci magnum motors with B&M 250 blowers. Can someone give me the spec of that motor, like 4-bolt(?) mains, crank, rods, cam & valve train, what generation block and reliability. Someone told me they opened a Hawk 550 and found the block to be a 2-bolt(?). I am looking at a boat with twin Hawk 600's and I just need to know more about them.

as far as i know hawk 600's were merc 500 hp's with a b&m 250 charger on them topped of with a pair of 650 carbs. i dont believe any internal mods were done to the engines. and no on the 2 bolt main block. merc uses 4 bolts with steel cranks, big gm rod and forged piston with recangular port head.

All Generation VI 502 blocks are 4 bolt. Not sure about earlier blocks though...
