Thanks for all the information. I have decided to go with the shields 1 inch rubber hose. It is rigid enough that it will not collapse around the bends and it has the 1 inch diameter I was looking for. I would love to do the braided hose, but I want to put that money towards other things on the boat so hopefully I can finish the project by this boating season. Now that I have this information, I can always change them out in the future.
