Want to add a on board batt charger

I have 4 batteries on the boat 2 on each side. they are wired in parallel. I only need to recharge the batteries when it is back home in the barn. I am thinking a charger in the 30-40 amp range, My question is can I use a 2 bank charger it seems 4 are hard to come by ..Any suggestions? .. Thanks

i have 3 in mine 2 in parallel & 1 seperate, had a 10 amp 2 bank chrger & when i added the 3rd batt it didnt last a month. called the manufacturer & he told me a 20 amp 2 bank will be fine. so far 3 months & no issues

I would think you would be fine as long as you have them on two separate circuits. Having it on individual batteries doesn't seem to be a major issue.

You might try Amazon.com I picked up a 4 bank 40 amp charger that was pretty reasonable. Its a Genius by Noco. Randy

You are all set then. My lazy ass just keeps my boat on the smart charger with the switch set to "all." I need to break down and get the charger too.

I went with a mastervolt 3/40 amp, seems hard to find a 2 bank in the higher amps..
