They did have an issue with some of the hose. They have since went to a different hose and different fittings. The fittings are MUCH nicer and easier to install. You still should use a mandrel though.

Anyone have a better solution to get the 4 hoses to the cylinder other than 4 thru hulls, just seems like it will be cramped getting all those connections made in the engine room against the transom. I like the Latham thru hull tees, but I bet they are pricey.

I am knocking on wood my engines can hold together until 2015, granted i only put about 10 hrs a year on them. Late 2014 the majority of my divorce settlement ends, i will actually have money to eat things other than ramen noodles! So then i should be ready to start preparing for a rebuild & getting more power out of these things.

yes, got one from CP, 3 hoses failed within 1 hour...all different ones, as well as 2 others on here had the exact same issues at the same time using the same hoses....there was a issue between the fittings and the hose...
