they failed from removing material not from being polished

what would it take to polish a new set of merc labbed props?

Send them to Frank & Jimmies in Ft Lauderdale, they polish them in a tub polisher they come out awesome!

I was thinking some 800, 1000, 1500 grit sand paper and some polishing compound.......thats all, guess its more for show than for go, so I wont bother, was just looking for something to do in the basement over the winter.

you would also need a bench grinder for the polishing wheels, but you would probably alter the cup on the props in the process. The other thing is if and when the props cavitate they will end up with a film on them from mineral deposits that will cover up all your hard work. They do look nice all shiny though.

.. I personally had mine done in the satin race finish when I sent it to BBlades..liked that better than polished... jmo
