Fuel Line Failure / New 575s
 

First Post - I picked up my new 382 Fastec May 26, 2002 and at 20 Hrs had a starboard fuel line break at the supercharger spraying raw 92 Octain gas over the headers, to make a long story short, at 22 hrs the Port line broke, and at 27 hrs the replaced Starboard line broke, all at exactly the same spot, a welded joint. After many conversations, dealer,Formula, Merc Racing, Merc and Formula flew their top men to my location and replaced the superchargers. They have the lines and superchargers at Merc Racing for inspection and will be reporting next week. These were numbers 2 and 3 off the assembly line with the new model superchargers.
Did I mention that at 33 hrs the port xr Drive Lube went dry because the vent screw on the side of the drive backed out, lost the lube and now lost the drive !
