If I had to do it all over again I would get the blower first.

Dart Iron Eagle VS. Edelbrock Aluminum heads & Sniper jr. Intake

Here is the dyno video of our 509 that we went from Dart Iron Eagle heads to Edelbrock Performer Marine aluminum heads, and from a Dart single plane intake to a Pro-filer Sniper Jr. intake.
Had a gain of 50hp and 30 ft lbs torque. We are very surprised. Hoping to pick up 1.5-2mph...

-Edelbrock Performer Marine aluminum cylinder heads
-Pro-filer Sniper Jr. Intake
-Quick Fuel 950
-93 octane pump gas
-36 degrees timing
-Ported, polished, and gasket matched
-652.6 Hp @5800rpm
-631.8 ft lbs torque @ 5000rpm

That is good power. I've changed my mind again and have decided to go with the blower.

I don't know how many times I changed my mind before I got my top mount whipple back. I wanted a blower but I also wanted bling if I was going to do it. Having a side mount sitting here didn't make things any easier. Even having this blower here I was still looking at roots style setups. I decided on the newer whipple because it came back & I really like the fuel injection so long as it is setup right. Which means letting someone build & tune it for me, I will start a new thread on my project when it dries up around here. I look forward to see & hear how yours is coming along. Randy

Nice gains. Where the dart iron eagles also ported and polished? Im a fan of the quick fuel carbs myself.

Both heads were gasket matched. The Edelbrock head had minimal work done on the exhaust (unshrouded valves in combustion chamber). On the flow bench the Darts dropped off at 600 lift and the Edelbrock went on to 700 plus. The Crane cam we are using is part #168741 it is a 610/632 & duration of 236 degrees @ 50

Congrats!
Those are good #'s. My friend ran the exact combination in/on a 540.
Fully wet Stainless marine exhaust, sea pump alternator fully rigged engine. 632HP/648TQ It was a beast, your going to enjoy it!

What were the specs of the old cam if you remember?

Were those edelbrock's oval or rect. ports. Nice build.

Rectangle, 2.25 an 1.89 valves 118 cc
