Blower pulley with serpentine acc belt
I'm looking to put a b&m 250 blower on my 509, but it has serpentine accessories. Can the lower blower pulley work, or will I have to change over to v belts? The b&m has a cog drive pulley system.

Generally, a blower like that has the blower belt and pulleys farther out than the accessory pulleys. Maybe the instruction sheet will say for sure.

I would think B&M would have a kit for that, have you measured for clearance in the engine compartment? When the side mount whipple was installed in my Eliminator they had to move the rear seat forward about 2" Just a thought, Randy

Use this pulley from CP.
http://www.cpperformance.com/p-14619...ock-chevy.aspx It will accept any blower pulley of your chosing. You may or may not need a spacer between this pulley and the blower pulley. It depends on the length of the blower snout. Eddie |
Thanks everyone. I don't have it in front of me yet so maybe I will get lucky and it will come with that pulley. :lolhit:

That is how my setup is. I have the v-belts (502s) and then the bottom pulley attaches to the crank pulley so the blower belt is in front. I can email you the instructions manual. The diagram of all the spacers is on the front page of it. Pm me your email if you would like me to send it. You can see how it is setup on the front page of it. You can kind of see how mine is in the 2 pics I attached. Jim |
Always thought those B&M kits for the mpi engines were neat!

Thanks for the pulley info. I will be sure to get one so I can get this thing installed when it comes in.
