weiand 177 oil fill
 

Was wondering how much gear oil to put in the front reservoir of a weiand 177 blower. There is no dipstick on the top plug on the front plate (just a regular pipe plug), and there is also a vertical pipe plug on the front plate right under the weiand logo. I filled the rear reservoir (there is only 1 vertical plug on the back plate) with merc hipo gear lube up to the bottom of the hole.

Does'nt take much more then a few shot glasses of CPW supercharger lube to get to the bottom of the plug where a sight glass should be.

definitely don't see a sight glass. Just the pipe plug on the front plate.

pull out the front plug and screw in a sight glasss , thats what that set of threads is meant for or just leave it out while your filling it and when it starts to run out she's full .

I believe the front takes 8oz and the rear 4 oz.
