Thanks Griff!
The V8-HP module has about the best curve for a performance engine. It has 20* of advance all in by 3000rpms. Small block, 9.3:1 compression with a Marine Kinetics cam and Vortecs. |

So now the question is, which is better between the V-6 module and the V-8 HP? Small block, 9.3:1 compression with a Marine Kinetics cam and Vortecs. A V6-14 module will give about 8-10* of advance on a V8 engine with full advance by about 2000rpms.. You could set base timing to about 20*. Either module will probably work. If the cam is kind of radical, then run the V6 module. The engine will idle better. If its just an average type marine cam upgrade, then I'd probably just run the V8-HP module. |
Right now I have the TB IV box, I'll probably start with that and find something after everythings back together.
Thanks. |
