valve spring compressor
who make a good valve compressor for a 502 with head on

I have one from Summit that works good. SUM-906784.

not sure, but a guy I knew used rope one time he turned the engine over by hand to get the piston low in the hole then pushed rope in the spark plug hole and rotated back up till it felt tight and replaced valve seals and springs, kinda redneck but he got it done.

+1 for the summit tool, I just changed out all the springs on my twins. The compressor and air fitting for spark plug hole made life very easy. Less then one hour for the job.
