quick silver mirage
 

i know the difference between mirage and mirage plus, but what the heck is a quick silver mirage?

Pretty sure they are the same. Just sold a Mirage and it said QuickSilver Mirage on the side.

I HAD MY LOCAL PROP SHOP GET ME A QIUCK SILVER COPY OF THE MIRAGE PLUS WITH VERY POOR RESULTS.THE PROP LOOKED VERY HIGH QAULITY.THE ONLY DIFFERENCE VISUALY WAS THE NAME WAS ETCHED ON THE PROP RATER THAN CAST INTO IT.I RUN A 23 PITCH ON A DEEP V PERFORMANCE BOAT.WITH THE QUICK SILVER MY MAX SPEED WAS 55 MPH.WITH THE MIRAGE PLUS I GET 61 MPH (15% SLIPPAGE).THE SLIPPAGE ON THE QUICKSILVER WAS VERY NOTICABLE.WHEN I RETURNED THE PROP MY PROP GUY CHECKED IT OUT AND FOUND THE DIAMETER TO BE DOWN ABOUT .25 INCH.

Back in the 80's quick silver was mercs entry level line of equipment. There were quicksilver gauges, throttles, props etc. I had a late 80's stainless round 3 ear prop that was lable as a quicksilver-but not as a mirage.
