Valvoline Vr1 racing oil
Greetings Oso members has anyone used this Vr1 20/50 racing oil. Is it better then others on the market?

I have used it in my boat. I think it is good oil. I have 20 quarts I am going to put in my new rebuilds once the break in period is over.

Rotella, like most auto products has reduced the levels of zinc.

I've learned, that there is more to a good protecting oil, than just zinc PPM.
The VR1 is a good oil though. |
VR-1 is all I use.

I am biased because I am employed by Ashland Oil, the parent company of Valvoline........but yes, great oil :D What ever brand you choose, choose an off road oil that has not been molested by the demands of today's automobiles.
