thats picture is perfect, i hope it helps the OP cjmatt, now did you just use a 1/4'' bolts with lock nuts on the carb linkage, and what kinda bracket did you use that mounts to the carb base, i see that you used the l-bracket on it that you can puchase from summit racing that holds the cable to the bracket. and thanks for the pic it tells a 1000 words iam sure it will help others also...

You are correct about the I Bracket, I believe I got it from Summit. You are also correct about the bolt, I simply enlarged an existing hole in the carb lever and put in the 1/4 stud. The cable bracket came from Dana Marine, follow the link:

The controls also should have different mounting locations where the cables can be attached and this will change the amount of throw.

funny thing is i go on summits website to buy stuff for my boat, and and up spending 900buks and a carb parts and a iron ls engine block for my 408 build in my transam lol thanks for all your help hope all this info helps cjmatt also...

Just make sure the mounting point of the cable is below where the cable attaches to the carb at WFO if not you will not get full throttle.
