Blower carbs???

I recently sold my b&m 250 and 950cfm dean Nickerson carb. The setup ran flawlessly with now pops, spitting or sputtering. I'm assuming it had to do with having the Nickerson carb. My new setup is a 420 mega blower with super chiller and twin 750 holley's. I don't know much about the carbs except the setup came off a running motor. It was a 509 with very similar cam specs that my 509 has. Any trick to setting the dual carbs up? It's a complete setup and was running so I'm assuming they should be setup for blower use. But assuming could get me into trouble. Should I install it all and see how it does or should I take the carbs apart and check them out? If I pull them apart what should I look for? I haven't really done much with automotive carbs since I was in high school which was 19 years ago.

Thanks for any and all suggestions on what to look for and setup tips.

Here is a picture of the new setup to give an idea of what I'm working with.

Did you not get my messages about your 250? Thought we had a deal. I called and left a message after our conversation to send payment. Never heard back. Guess I missed out.

No hard feelings at all bud. I didn't act quick enough. My fault. What would be the best time to call?

Craig, the holleys are pretty easy and basic. Are those boost referenced?

Mine are 850's, non boost referenced. I am running 8.5PV in the primary, with 84 Jets. Secondary is 92 jets, with PV blocked. I have a good fuel curve, that richens up as RPM/boost goes up. Dynoed and AFR in the boat.

It wouldn't hurt to open them up, replace needle seats, gaskets, new PV's, a good cleaning, and some fresh paint to get rid of that yellow! Soak them in one of those carb cleaning buckets, like the berryman brand. The paint will come off. Get a can for paint stripping, then a can for soaking after paint is stripped. Then blow all the orifices out real good.

I buy all my carb stuff from allcarbs.com . Their prices are awesome, from rebuild kits, to individual parts, to jets.
