Less than a season on the Chesapeake-even with flushing.

Less than a season? Am I real lucky or were you real unlucky? I have going on 4 years now on the Edelbrock manifolds, and when I pull the water outlets and look inside they still look ok. The boat had Holley manifolds on when I got it, and they were in pretty good shape too, boat was run on Long Island sound before I got it, but did set for a couple of years unused.

I am "pretty good" about flushing the motors after each run, and live several miles up-stream from the bay itself so the water is probably a little less salty at my dock.

I SURE HOPE YOUR 4 YEARS PLUS IS ACCURATE. SO FAR MINE ARE ON THE SECOND SEASON. I TOO USE A RAMP FAR FROM THE SALT LINE ON THE CHESAPEAK BAY, TOLCHESTER, MD. IS THE SALT LINE MOST OF THE TIME. WHEN I PUT IN AT THE KENT NARROWS I ALWAYS FLUSH WHEN I PULL THE BOAT OUT. HOPE IT HOLDS UP.

I had erosion around the bolts and in a sender port after 1 year on a SBC manifold. I gave uup and went back to a cast iron manifold. Maybe I was real unlucky but I have seen some pretty hideous aluminum manifolds on the Bay.
