496 ho with boost? reliable?

so i need some input on how well a 496 ho stock will hold up with a whipple on it with low boost. are there any issue i should know about?

if you keep the boost below 5 lbs you will be fine,5+ and it will get ugly.

Doesn't a 496 have all cast internals? I wouldn't push my luck with that.

I thought the HO has forged..

Very early runs of the HO had forged cranks. None have forged pistons. Your '06 has a cast crank and hypereutectic pistons.

Keep it stock and they run forever. Add boost, and you'll be motor shopping soon.

I ran a 496 Mag with an M1 Procharger for 3 seasons & over 200 hours....3 lbs of boost..... never had any issues...like someone else said... keep the boost below 5lbs & enjoy.....
