Coolant temp sensor question?
 

Temp sensor to ecm. 1993 502 EFI. Is it the same sensor that GM has used for years on cars and trucks. Looks the the same but I dont know if it's calibrated the same.I had one engine starting hard last year and I found some corrosion in the connector. I work for a GM dealer and was thinking of buying one of our sensors and installing a new connector. Thinking if coolant temp was reading incorrectly might cause hard starting. I dont have a scan tool so I though this might be a good guess.
