Default 496 mag, double beep alarm every 60 seconds. Code 37 sea pump pressure low.

Boat has a set of twin 496 mags. 2002 boat and motors.
Trouble free until today.
222.9 hours. On the starboard motor.

Took off and after getting on plane, and setting trim. Got the double beep. Every 60 seconds. Once shut off, and idled around it did not do it. Back on plan. Back to beeping. Then once back to harbor, I tried shutting it off again, to stop it from beeping and it was doing it at idle now too.

Came home and scanned codes with my merc scan tool

Starboard

36 sea pump pressure hi
132 crank sensor
9 guardian
19 over speed
153 low drive lube
37 sea pump pressure low
75 fuel level ckt hi
94 pilot ckt low
191 fuel level 2 ckt hi
118 ster pos ckt hi

After a clearing faults. Codes I rescanned to see what all was still a fail.
37 sea pump pressure low
94 pilot ckt low
75 fuel level ckt hi
118 ster pos ckt hi
191fuel level 2 ckt hi

This leads me to believe there is a problem with the sea pump sensor? Why would it be failing still when the motor is not running. After I clear the codes and it still pops up. Like its a bad circuit.

The 94, 75, 118, 191, I know are normal and always there. The others are interesting but I don't think that's the problem.

What's some of you guys thoughts? Where should I start? Hope I gave enough detail.

Also boats running fine, flowing water great out of all 4 tail pipes, and not running hot, and fine oil pressure. Just the beeps

For good measure I scanned port as well.

Port

153 low drive lube
151 fuel pump ckt
133 crank sensor
77 cam sensor
9 guardian
19 over speed
191 fuel level 2
118 ster pos ckt
75 fuel level ckt hi
94 pilot ckt low

After clearing faults / codes
94 pilot ckt low
75 fuel level ckt hi
118 ster pos ckt hi
191 fuel level 2 ckt hi

it needs a new water pressure sensor . I would also change the impeller if it hasn't been changed in the last year or so

I am hopping the empellars are ok, flowing good water. And they are only 1.5 years old. Anyone have a part number for the sensor?

F not to hard may swap them on the motors and see if problem follows. But if ot to $$ would just replace for the amout of work.

Be sure to buy the part number based on your engine serial number. There are 3 or 4 that have different value ranges but look identical. An 02 vintage engine should start with OM and there will be a water pressure sensor part number for that serial number.

The boat is on a trailer.

And used 99% of the time in fresh water. I has made 2 trips to the gulf, and flushed washed, cleaned, detailed patter both times. Let alone dunked and ran in fresh water less then 6 hours from being in the salt water.

And thanks for the heads up on the serial numbers. Will make sure to order them based on that.

Looks like he was right according to my Engine serial numbers.

and 881879T11 was superseded from 881879A6

But talked to the local Mercruser Dealer, and he agree with the code tripping with motor not running, sounds like a clogged sensor or something, pull it and clean it.

Not going to lie, I read post on here all the time with missing information, and people get a million responses, help, ideas, or at least some cross talk to help spark other ideas. lst alone the lack of info and people having to go back and forth for days tryign to get the correct info.

I posted what I thought was all the information I can give: description of circumstances, whats going on, scanned codes be fore and after a clear. and yet, BARLEY any responce.

Not trying to be a whiny ***** but how come more options? thoughts? something?
