1997 STD 454 carb rev limiter?
 

I did the search but netted zero help. Only talk of the MAG engines.

I have a 1997 Merc 454 carb non mag engine. It sounded like I was hitting the limiter yesterday.

Can anyone tell me what it would be set at? From what I could tell my tach only said 4700-4800 but it could have snuck up higher on my.
I know the recommended max is 4600. Just wondering where the limiter is so I can avoid it.
