Potential Issues with 7.4 L Mercruiser (Year 2000) with Bravo I Drive

Hi everyone - Hope your boating season and been fun and above all safe.

I'm in the process of purchasing a 2000 Cobalt 226 with a Mercruiser 7.4 Bravo I drive combo- The engine has 310 hours on it (computer verified).
Also has Captain's Call exhaust feature-- Fresh water only.

Are there any outstanding issues with this vintage engine/HP/ and Drive that I should be concerned about. I have most of the service records and all maintenance appears to have been completed over the years - Nothing would suggest that there were any issues. Last major tune up was at 290 hours- a couple of years ago.

Any comment regarding fuel usage for this engine

The boat is exceptional - only a little ding in the gel coat that will easily be repaired.

Any information would be appreciated.

310 hours on a stock 7.4 is nothing. Drive should be fine too. It's not uncommon to see people pull 1000 hours with that combo provided they use it without thrashing it.
