Computer/Thermostat Question
The 6.2 MPI s in my 29' Fountain Fever came with 160 degree thermostats. Will switching to 140 degree thermostats
cause the computer to think the engines are not at operating temperature and give an improper air/fuel ratio or would the switch be ok? |
They are made for 160*'s. If it ain't broke, don't try and fix it.

Your ECM 555 is mapped accordingly to the original 160 degree t-stat. Your motor has the possibility of running rich with a lower T-stat temp. Coolant temp sensor and map sensor are main sensors that report back to the ECM for proper fuel deliveries.
