Mechanical indicator help
Ok I've been searching for a few hours now and may have answered some of my questions.
Mechanical indicators on alpha drives and bennet tabs. Cable to dash is easy enough. Looking for actuators for both. Assuming the bravo actuator will work on alpha yes? What type of actuator do I need for the bennet tabs? Hate the electrical stuff and tab indicators were busted. Gonna switch to heads up mechanical. Any help and pics appreciated. Mike |
A friend just purchased a 31 Scarab with Bennett's, and the cable end is bolted through the end of the tab... Looks like they drilled a hole and attached the cable if that makes sense.

The trim indicators for the bravo are clamped to the rams so I don't think it would be an issue putting them on an alpha. The K-planes have the cable come through the housing attached to the transom so for the bennetts you may need to use the same type of thru-hull fitting as used for the drives.

Thanks guys. I was figuring the alpha to bravo because its ram based would work. For the Bennett's I was figuring using a similar thru hull and fabricating something so it mounts similar to how does drive rams but do it to tab rams.
Just wasn't sure if anyone made an actuator for Bennett's to go mechanical. |
They do, my buudies 292 fastech has them, as did my 24 baja. Ill see if I can get a picture
